SILIMER 6600 is suitable for common thermoplastic resins, TPE, TPU and other thermoplastic elastomers, which can play a lubricating role, improve the material processing performance, improve the dispersion of fillers, flame retardant powders, pigments and other components, and also improve the surface feel of the material.
Silimer 6600 is a triblock copolymerized modified siloxane composed of polysiloxane, polar groups and long carbon chain groups. When it is used in the flame-retardant system, uder the condition of mechanical shear, the polysiloxane chain segment can play a certain isolation role between flame retardant molecules and prevent the secondary agglomeration of flame-retardant molecules; The polar group chain segment has some bonding with the flame retardant, which plays the role of coupling; long carbon chain segments have good compatibility with the substrate.
1. Improves the compatibility of pigment/filler/functional powders with resin systems;
2. Keeps the dispersion of powders stable.
3. Reduce melt viscosity, reduce extruder torque, extrusion pressure, improve the processing properties of the material with good processing lubricity.
4. The addition of Silimer 6600 can effectively improve the surface feel of the material and smoothness.
1. After mixing Silimer 6600 with the formula system in proportion, it can be directly formed or granulated.
2. For the dispersion of flame retardants, pigments or filled powder, it is recommended to add 0.5% to 5% of the powder.
3. Suggestions for adding methods: If it is a modified powder, it can be used after mixing Silimer 6600 with the powder in a high mixing machine or alternatively, the Silimer 6600 can be added to processing equipment via a liquid pump.
The standard packing is in drums, net weight 25 kg/drum. Original characteristics remain intact for 24 months from the production date if kept in recommend storage.
