Silicone masterbatch ( Anti-scratch masterbatch) LYSI-306H is an upgraded version of LYSI-306, has an enhanced compatibility with the Polypropylene (PP-Homo ) matrix — Resulting in lower phase segregation of the final surface, this means it stays on the surface of the final plastics without any migration or exudation , reducing fogging , VOCS or Odors . LYSI-306H helps improve long-lasting anti-scratch properties of automotive interiors , by offering improvements in many aspects like Quality, Aging , Hand feel, Reduced dust buildup… etc.
Compare to conventional lower molecular weight Silicone / Siloxane additives, Amide or other type scratch additives, SILIKE Anti-scratch Masterbatch LYSI-306 is expected to give a much better scratch resistance, meet PV3952 & GMW14688 standards. SILIKE LYSI series silicone masterbatch may be processed in the same way as the resin carrier on which they based. It can be used in classical melt blending process like Single /Twin screw extruder, injection molding. A physical blend with virgin polymer pellets is recommended .
When added to PP or similar thermoplastic at 0.2 to 1% , improved processing and flow of the resin is expected, including better mold filling, less extruder torque, internal lubricants, mold release and faster throughput; At a higher addition level , 2~5%, improved surface properties are expected, including lubricity , slip, lower coefficient of friction and greater mar/scratch and abrasion resistance.

Adding 1.5-3% silicone masterbatch LYSI-306H to the TPO system, the scratch resistance test can be passed, and meet VW’s PV3952, and GM’s GMW14688 standards. under the pressure of 10 N, the ΔL can achieve <1.5. no stickiness and low VOCs.
